In Honor Of Those Who Gave The Supreme Sacrifice
On September 11, 2001 Emergency Service Personnel such as ourselves responded to a call for help just like they would any other day. Unfortunately for the Fire Department of New York it was not your typical call. People from all walks of life watched as the most horrific and devastating event in fire service history unraveled. While trying desperately to save all 60,000 people in the World Trade Center 343 firefighters from FDNY were tragically taken from us. Even though these brave men and women perished doing the job they loved for the country they loved they were taken from us much too soon. It is the job of every firefighter to remember the sacrifice made by all firefighters killed in the line of duty. This is our memorial to the 343 firefighters killed at Ground Zero on September 11, 2001.
