Week seventeen finished with the Ball Busters in hot pursuit of the Alley Cats.
The Busters split with the Turkey Hunters keeping the Busters one point behind
the Cats while putting the Hunters into a three-way tie for fourth with the
Poppers and the Gutter Gang. High for the Busters and carrying the team was
Carl Tankred with 710. High rollers for the Turkey Hunters were Vinny Medeiros
with 674 and sub-Kevin Walton with 623.
The league leading Alley Cats split with Pin Poppers to maintain their lead while
punishing the first half winners. High for the Cats was Turtle Huff with 576 and
Jimmy Brunner with 629. Getting spanked on the Poppers was Ron Rex with 622
and Matty Wanamaker with 551.
In spite of the Strikers throwing more gutter balls than the Gutter Gang, they
swept all four points from the Gang. The Strikers moved up into third while
knocking the Gang from third into the fourth-place fray. High for the Strikers was
Jeff Wied with 682 and high for the Gang was Toby Cole with a dismal 606
